ZACH BENNEDSEN, CFP®

FINANCIAL PLANNER

Zach Bennedsen, CFP® graduated from Virginia Tech in 2016 with both a Bachelor of Science in Finance, where he completed Virginia Tech’s CFP® Certification Education Track, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. At Virginia Tech, Zach was an active member of the University’s FPA chapter, and served as Vice President his senior year. He was also a member of the Spanish Honor Society, and studied in Madrid during the summer of 2014.

Prior to Yeske Buie, Zach served as an intern at SageBroadview Financial Planning in Morristown, New Jersey. His brief stay affirmed his love for financial planning and assured him he had found the right profession. He is captivated by the unique blend of personal skills and technical knowledge that financial planning requires. Zach has joined San Francisco’s thriving FPA chapter, and plans on becoming involved in the NexGen community.

In his free time, Zach enjoys playing ice hockey, hiking, and playing the guitar (poorly). He also enjoys buying coffee beans from local shops, and is always trying to find his new favorite variety.

Client Focus: Zach approaches his work with Clients by viewing himself as a financial lens. He focuses on understanding a Client’s Live Big® ideas and goals, translating them to dollars, then putting them back into something that is both meaningful and achievable.

Current Update: After a wonderful Yeske Buie retreat and a trip to Yosemite National Park, Zach is back in the bay area… but on the other side of the bay! Zach just moved to the Lake Merritt area in Oakland and is excited to explore his new surroundings. Bonus points – his view of San Francisco is better than it was when he lived in the city! On the horizon: a trip to the east coast for his sister’s wedding, then a road trip up the California and Oregon coastline. Within the walls of the office, Zach is currently working on a handful of projects to help Yeske Buie stay ahead of the technology curve.
