Jack Petras graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Consumer Economics and a concentration in Financial Planning. While on campus, Jack served as the Vice President of his Financial Planning Club. Through the club, Jack was able to participate in various professional conferences and case competitions. Additionally, he served as Vice President of his fraternity and worked in the map library.

Previously, Jack interned at brokerage firms Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo. These experiences helped Jack develop a passion for the day-to-day life of a financial planner, and taught him the importance of professionalism and trust in the client-planner relationship.

Outside of the office, Jack has developed a passion for running which has allowed him to increase his daily chocolate consumption. After being challenged by Lauren Stansell during his interview process with Yeske Buie, Jack recently ran his first half-marathon in 1:47:08. He plans to run the Golden Gate Half-Marathon in November and hopes to see you out there. Jack also is an avid sports fan and follows multiple sports including baseball, football, soccer, golf, and hockey.

Current Update: Jack has expunged his old diet of chicken tenders and has experienced different food cultures with Yeske Buie such as: Japanese, Mediterranean, Indian, and Vietnamese. Furthermore, Jack has settled in smoothly to San Francisco and is currently living his dream playing in the “old man’s” soccer league. Lastly, Jack is excited for his 3-week trip to the Vienna office to explore D.C. and surrounding areas.
